Sound familiar?
When a WordPress site needs a new caretaker
These are the situations owners describe when they come to us.
Your developer stopped replying
Updates have not been run for months, and nobody knows which plugins matter.
Nobody has all the logins
Hosting, domain and WordPress admin sit in different people’s accounts.
Security worries
Unknown admin users, nulled plugins or a past hack that was never fully cleaned.
An agency is winding down
Your agency closed, merged or stopped offering maintenance and needs a safe hand-off.
Updates keep breaking things
Every plugin update risks the checkout or the contact form, so updates stop altogether.
You inherited the site
A new marketing lead or owner takes charge of a site nobody documented.
How the takeover works
From handover to steady monthly care
No rebuild and no downtime. The site keeps running throughout.
Access and ownership
We confirm you own the domain, hosting and site, and set up our own named logins.
Backup and safety check
An off-site backup first, then a malware scan, user audit and a check of licences and versions.
Written handover report
What you have, what is out of date, what is risky and what we suggest, in plain English.
Monthly care
Set up within 48 hours of access, then weekly updates, daily backups, monitoring and a monthly health report.
What we document
Your handover checklist
Everything a new developer needs, written down once and kept up to date.
Logins and owners
Who controls the domain, DNS, hosting, email and WordPress, and which are in your name.
Software inventory
WordPress, PHP, theme and every plugin with versions, licences and whether it is still maintained.
Security baseline
Admin users, malware scan, file changes, SSL and the backup schedule.
Proof, not promises

Takeover FAQs
Questions about taking over WordPress maintenance
Can you take over maintenance of a WordPress site someone else built?
Yes. Most of the sites we look after were built by another developer or agency. We do not need the original developer’s help, only working access: a WordPress admin account, hosting or SFTP access and, ideally, access to the domain’s DNS.
What if my previous developer disappeared and I don’t have the logins?
That is common. If you can log into your hosting account or your domain registrar, we can usually regain WordPress admin access safely. If you have no access to anything, we walk you through recovering the hosting or registrar account first, since only the account owner can do that.
What do you check when you take over a WordPress site?
We list every login and who controls it, confirm a working off-site backup, record the WordPress, theme and plugin versions, check licences for premium plugins, scan for malware and unknown admin users, review hosting, SSL and DNS, and note anything already broken. You get that summary in writing before the first round of updates.
How much does WordPress maintenance cost after the takeover?
Care plans are $59/month (Starter), $149/month (Growth), $299/month (Priority) and $599/month (Enterprise), billed monthly with no long contract. The right plan depends on how busy the site is, whether it runs WooCommerce and how much development time you need each month.
What if the site is already broken or hacked when you take over?
We fix that first, as a separate fixed-price job: emergency fixes start at $149 with the work done within 24 hours, and malware cleanup is quoted on the malware removal page. Once the site is stable, the care plan takes over.
Will you rebuild my site or switch my hosting?
Not unless you ask. A takeover keeps your current design, theme and hosting. If we find something that is genuinely risky, such as an abandoned theme or a host that cannot run a current PHP version, we explain the options and the cost before changing anything.
Do you work with US businesses and US time zones?
Yes. Our support hours are 11 AM to 1 AM Pakistan time, which is about 2 AM to 4 PM Eastern, so most issues reported during the US working morning are picked up the same day. Updates and heavier maintenance run while your customers are asleep.
Can an agency hand its client sites over to you?
Yes. We take over single sites and agency portfolios. Agencies that want to keep the client relationship can use our white-label WordPress support instead.
Do I keep ownership of everything?
Always. Your domain, hosting, WordPress site and content stay in your name. We use our own named logins, never shared ones, and remove them if you end the plan.
