The problem
Why WordPress sites fail Core Web Vitals
Google measures real visitors on real phones. These are the causes we find most often on WordPress sites.
Slow LCP
A big hero image or slider, web fonts and render-blocking CSS hold back the main content. Slow hosting response makes it worse.
Poor INP
Page-builder JavaScript, chat widgets, tag managers and tracking pixels keep the browser busy, so taps and clicks feel stuck.
High CLS
Images without sizes, late-loading fonts, cookie bars and injected ads push the layout around while the page loads.
Plugin bloat
Plugins that load their scripts and styles on every page, even where they are not used, add weight to every visit.
Weak caching
No page cache, no object cache or a CDN set up wrongly means every visit is rebuilt from scratch on the server.
Mobile-only failures
Desktop scores look fine, but mobile visitors on slower phones and networks are the ones Google measures first.
What we fix
The three Core Web Vitals, and what we do about each
Google’s thresholds for a “Good” rating, measured at the 75th percentile of real visits.
LCP: 2.5 s or less
Preload and properly size the main image, serve WebP or AVIF, inline critical CSS, trim fonts, and cut server response time with page and object caching.
INP: 200 ms or less
Delay or remove non-essential third-party scripts, break up long JavaScript tasks, unload unused plugin assets and tune the page builder.
CLS: 0.1 or less
Reserve space for images, embeds and banners, stabilise font loading and fix elements that are injected after the page has rendered.

Core Web Vitals FAQs
Questions about fixing Core Web Vitals on WordPress
What does a WordPress Core Web Vitals service include?
We pull your field data from Google Search Console and PageSpeed Insights, find which URL groups fail LCP, INP or CLS on mobile and desktop, fix the causes in WordPress (images, fonts, render-blocking CSS and JavaScript, third-party scripts, caching, hosting response time and layout shifts), then send a written before-and-after report and help you start validation in Search Console.
How much does it cost to fix Core Web Vitals on WordPress?
Fixed prices: the Baseline Fix is $249 (audit, the highest-impact fixes and a validation report) and Growth Optimization is $499 (a deeper sprint across templates and the conversion path, with priority rollout support). If you want speed kept in check every month, the Growth care plan at $149/month includes speed optimization and Core Web Vitals monitoring.
How long until Search Console shows my pages as passing?
The fixes usually ship within days, but Search Console uses real Chrome user data collected over a rolling 28-day window. That means the report normally changes a few weeks after the fix. Lab tools like PageSpeed Insights show the improvement straight away, and we include those measurements in your report.
Why does PageSpeed Insights say one thing and Search Console another?
PageSpeed Insights shows a lab test of one page load plus, when there is enough traffic, field data from real visitors. Search Console groups similar URLs and only uses field data. We fix for the field data, because that is what Google uses, and use lab tests to confirm each change.
What is INP and why is my WordPress site failing it?
Interaction to Next Paint measures how quickly a page responds when someone taps, clicks or types. On WordPress it usually fails because of heavy page builders, chat and tracking scripts, sliders, and long JavaScript tasks from plugins. Good is 200 ms or less. We reduce or delay the scripts that block the main thread, without removing features you need.
Will passing Core Web Vitals improve my Google rankings?
Core Web Vitals are part of Google’s page experience signals. They will not outrank better content on their own, but a site that loads and responds well keeps more visitors and avoids losing close ranking battles. We are honest about this up front: we fix the vitals, and if content or technical SEO is the bigger problem we tell you.
Do you work on WooCommerce, Elementor and other page builders?
Yes. Most of the sites we fix run Elementor, Divi, WPBakery or a block theme, many with WooCommerce. We tune the builder’s own settings first, then caching, assets and images, and we test cart and checkout after every change.
Will you change my design or break my site?
No redesign is needed. We work on a staging copy or with a full backup in place, change one thing at a time, and check the key pages, forms and checkout after each change. If anything looks off we roll it back.
Can you fix Core Web Vitals if my hosting is the problem?
If server response time (TTFB) is the bottleneck we show you the numbers and fix what WordPress can fix: page caching, object caching, database cleanup and heavy queries. If the host itself is too slow we recommend a move, and we can handle the migration as a separate job.
